Overview

Encompassing over 500 acres, Little Mountain Park is both the largest and finest of Mount Vernon's Parks. This tiny mountain located east of I5 has long been loved by locals who enjoyed the broad vistas available from the drive to the summit. More recently, the richly forested slopes have become a popular spot for hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers who come to exercise and play on the well-built trails in a beautiful forest environment. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Mount Vernon, the park is an easy drive from Seattle or Bellingham.

Local Info

While not a destination riding zone, Little Mountain Park is one of only a few places to mountain bike between Seattle and Bellingham. The mountain boasts over 6.5 miles of multi-use singletrack open to bikers - and it's constantly and lovingly maintained. While there is a road to the top, this is not an area that lends itself to shuttling.

The predominantly gentle terrain and low elevation gains make Little Mountain Park especially suited for newer and intermediate riders who are starting out into mountain biking or looking for a downright gorgeous pedal with a few choice challenges thrown in to keep things lively.
