The Trails at Union University

Overview

Looking for a well-marked easy to follow trail system in Jackson, TN? This is it. This is a multi-use trail system shared by bikes, runners, and walkers. I was impressed with how the map directs the bikers to take the loops in a clockwise formation and anyone on foot travels counter clockwise. I am sure this feature helps keep everyone aware of each other. The trails/loops are all well-marked and include trees blazed with the color of the trail loop, and trail markers posts at intersections. The trails are all well-used and a fun mix of deep evergreen woods and open hardwoods around stream bottoms.

There are eight trails of varying distances in the trail system.
Blue - 1.7 miles
Red - Snakey Loop - 0.3 mile
Yellow - Double Dip Loop - 0.9 mile
Purple - Tornado Alley Loop - 0.5 mile
Green - Twister Loop - 0.6 mile
White - 1.0 mile
Orange - Timber Loop - 0.4 mile
Pink - 1.0 mile
