Fun bridge and cool scenery at the bottom of snake
Covered Mine Shaft. This is one of about 7 covered abandoned lead mine shafts here in FDR Park. These are left over from the lead mining days of the late 1800's to early 1900's. The metal grate covers are solid and very reliable. Very interesting history here with many reminders of the past.
Creek Crossing on Hoot Hollow. Water level varies with high rainfall and shifting rocks.

A ride through the summer foliage on the South Trailhead. Hardpack dirt when dry. Slimy and muddy when wet.
Maint Trail creek crossing. Water flowing under the road becomes 6-12" of water on the road in heavy rains. Very low flow, so the danger is always at a minimum.
