It's about to get steeeeep on the Berry Creek trail, heading down towards the trail bottom.
Ponderosa pine, manzanita, and oak is the main type of vegetation cover. Pretty thin, so it doesn't provide a lot of shade in the middle of the summer!

The trail will end here, at the railroad tracks. Cross it and head down to your left. Or turn around and head up Berry Creek.
Climbing one of the smaller fire roads, re-connecting to Mt. Hough road
Crossing the creek at the bottom - almost done with the downhill.
Done with the steepest parts, you've emerged from the trees. You should be able to hear the motos coming.
Yep, motos are here too! It's about to get steep and technical on this climb.
