This spot can be confusing when returning to the trailhead. The fire road is to the left (or straight) and the trail is to the right.
The doubletrack section begins here by crossing a large earthen dam. The "trail" (actually a dirt road) is to the left of the picture.
One of the more technical spots on the trail. It appears to have been made so by erosion exposing some tree roots.
This is about the only creek crossing on the trail. And no, it is not that technical.

Sylaward Trail at Lake Howard is closed on Monday. The gate is locked.
