At the top, about 12,200 ft. Looking back towards Hancock/St. Elmo.
Many a rocks to cross and cairns to mark your path
Good spot to stop for lunch and a view of the lakes below. Look for wild columbines and marmots hanging out in the rock fields.
This turn can be easily missed after descending Hancock. Make sure to make the turn onto Tomichi.
Hancock Pass can be very windy. And very cold. Tomichi Pass can be seen in the background, you'll be climbing up that.
Hancock Pass is a 4X4 road that sucks a lot of energy heading up it.
