As you come to this second cove, there is a fork coming. Stay left, again, to take another alternate route with a good climb and some new terrain.
Eventually, you'll find you're way back to the main trail on the other side of the same, second, cove.
Choose left for a good, steady climb. Keep up your momentum because at the top you've got a tree ramp to negotiate.
You'll join the main trail at the hard to see small bridge. A good reminder of the alternate trail on your way back through.
One of a couple transitions under the powerlines with a great view of the water.
If you can find it, veer left just before the first power line crossing and you'll find an another alternative route leading to some quick, fun sections.
A cool creek/rock crossing - beautiful scenery throughout this trail - quite a few exposed tree roots early on to manage.
Coming back toward the reservoir dam treats you to this water front section.
