The wide gravel trail makes for easy going.
Crossing one of the many trestles! This one is over Hansen Creek.
A few blooms add some color alongside the trail.
Part of an old avalanche shed that protected the train tracks along the John Wayne Pioneer Trail.
Great views abound from the trail of all the mountains along the I-90 corridor. This is likely Bandera Mountain.
Small waterfalls and streams are just off the trail, offering an opportunity to refill (treatment recommended) or just cool off!
