The dirt road section (Elk Range Trail) isn't an exciting trail, but it sure is scenic.
The Jeffco Trail map. Shows the 3 pertinent parking sites, Mayhem Gulch off of Hwy 6, and the Centennial Cone parking and the Camino Perdido Rd parking. The last 2 are easier start points.
Clear Creek (and your car, probably) WAAAY down there.
