The most technical section of the Blacktail Loop Trail is harder to ride up than down!
Much of the Blacktail Loop trail is smooth and fast like you see here, with forest cover most of the way. This is one of the wider and flatter sections of trail near the start/finish of the loop. Most of the trail is narrower and steeper than this.
Upper Skeeboggan Trail cruises down through some tree lined grass meadows.
A mountain bike rider rides up the Blacktail Access Trail. Many sections like this one are like doubletrack, and the terrain is more open than the Blacktail Loop.
Locals might ask where this photo was taken, but I was on the trail and if I was to turn the camera a little to the left, you would see the Blacktail Trailhead Parking Lot barely 200 feet away.
