This little cabin is one of the first cool things you run into along the way. It comes with an incredible story. I encourage you to look it up.
Ride past Werner Lookout and...we're off!
Werner Peak Lookout; the start of the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail (Whitefish Divide Trail #26) is just on the north side.
When you're not right on top of the ridge, you're right below it riding through beautiful little meadows, springs and run-off lakes.
Today at this little run-off lake, there was a frog hatch. The ground was moving with thousands of baby frogs everywhere.
Because of the gate to Werner Lookout, the official start of the ride whether you rode up the road or park here.
The views start here and never end for 18 high alpine, ridge riding miles.
