DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and other cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze/thaw during the winter.

Description

Jim Branch is mostly used as a climb to access Dupont from the Lake Imaging parking area. The trail starts with a technical rock climb and then meanders up to the saddle where Isaac Heath splits.

Rode a little over 7 miles before hitting the final descent, definitely worth it.

Climbing up Jim Branch is not as attenuating as my brother is making it seem! Ridgeline and Issac Heath are worth the climb!!
