Upper Comet is one of the many great "upper" trails at Carvins Cove. It starts out pretty standard but then takes you right straight down the mountain. It's not as steep as some of the trails in the Cove, but the washouts in the middle of the steep downhill section make it more of a challenge.

Once you're at the bottom, you have some nice singletrack and then a short, steep climb that a majority of riders have to hike up. This portion of the trail has several up and down sections that will have your legs burning.

At the trail intersection you can either go straight and finish out Lower Comet, turn left and go up Tuckaway to pick up the upper trails again, or turn right to finish out Tuckaway and go on to discover the "lower" trails.
