Description

This is a rather short trail segment that lets you get from the Poverty Creek trail to the more challenging trails on the other side of SR 708. Royale is a bit misleading as it starts off pretty easy, but it settles in to a 10% grade and gets rockier as you go, completely sapping your momentum on the climb! As mentioned, the trail lets out at an unpaved road. At this point, you can shoot left down the road (it's fast with a loose surface) and hook up with Queen Anne's Lace, Poverty Creek, or a few other trails, or cross the road and pick up the Prickly Pear trail for direct access to the technical riding on the "Gap side" of the Pandapas Pond trail system.
