The lake has a large campground you'll encounter several hikers on weekends.
Multi-use trail for hikers, runners and horses. Be respectful!
Overview
This trail is mapped as a counter-clockwise loop around lake, with views of the lake and forest throughout. Its a very scenic intermediate trail, with very short technical sections and mostly rolling singletrack. There's very little elevation change but you are at altitude to begin with.
Need to Know
The parking area is along the 2nd Dam or where shown on the map. At exactly the halfway point of the trail at a T intersection, make a right, ride for 200 yards and you'll come up to a nice waterfall and a nice place to cool down.
Description
Head along Morman Emmigrant Trail for about 1/4 mile to turn off to the parking area on your left. The singletrack starts here (so does horse trail, stay off). From here, it's rolling singetrack all the way around.
On the north side of the lake, the trail intersects with several campgrounds, stay close to lake and you'll easily follow trail around campsites and back to singletrack. Watch out along the roads for easily seen painted markings indicating "Trail" to keep you on track.
At the northwest portion of lake, you'll pass a boat launch area. The singletrack picks up right at end of launch area and continues around along the lake edge back to the parking area.
