Description

Great Escape starts to your right at a small trailhead connecting to Getaway and Arth's Corner. The trail gets right back to business with the slickrock and singletrack you've become accustomed to on Bull Run.

If you're interested, there's a viewpoint at the very beginning of this trail that looks out over some natural bridges in the canyon.

From here, the trail is wavy slickrock for the most part - just follow the painted stripes as a general guideline. The impressive La Sal Mountains become the predominant backdrop as you work your way west down the route. Much of the trail covers large expanses of slickrock, making you feel like you're on a remote backcountry adventure.

Continue straight when you come to a crossing with a jeep road. From here the route continues over the sea of red sandstone with tighter turns and few more up and downs to a 'T' intersection with Little Canyon.
