Need to Know

This trail is subject to a USFS seasonal closure from 5/15 - 6/20 to protect deer and elk during calving season

Description

This one starts off with some rocky drops and steep root sections in a thick aspen and pine forest. It has one sizable drop (20 inches?) off a root ledge. The landing is good, but there isn't really an alternate route for this one. The trail mellows out a bit as it continues, but there will still be sections of short drops and root-filled tech that intermediates may want to walk. Experts will be able to ride just about everything.

After a while, the trail stops descending quite so fast and crosses a beautiful creek using a bridge. Then, after a very brief climb the trail points back downhill through rocky glades and aspen groves. The trail gets smoother and less steep as it continues, loosely following the creek the rest of the way down. The final sections make for smooth, super-fast fun until the trail ends at a junction with Eagle Vail Trail. Connect with Eagle Vail Trail , Elkhorn Trail, Village to Village Trail, and Allie's Way for a solid loop.
