The trail closes on November 1st every year for deer hunting. Depending on the weather is may reopen in January.
Description
The trail is very well marked. Leave the parking lot and travel a short distance before crossing Monkey Run street. Then the trail direction is counter-clockwise.
There are lots of roots, tight singletrack, and small hills. You'll occasionally see other riders but chances are they are over a mile away from you. It's a very good use of the small plot of land!
While the main trail is just under 7 miles there are actually closer to 10 miles of trail in the area. The first half of the trail is approximately 6 miles long and you can exit back to the parking lot at that point. The second half is 4 miles long and has longer climbs along, with some fun, natural, whoopties.
This trail had a lot of downed branches and few trees in the trail, also very grown in. Little clean up would make this a little more enjoyable.
