Description

The Main Loop of Sherman Branch is one of Charlotte's finest and most popular mountain bike playgrounds. Kudos to the Tarheel Trail for keeping this trail in such great shape!

The Main Loop starts off clockwise from the parking lot and starts with a newly redesigned downhill berm section that will have you grinning from ear to ear. After a small log skinny and about a mile, the Main Loop intersects with Roller Coaster Loop and continues as the right option.

The Main Loop has many man-made structures and jumps along the way, two ladder bridge ledge drops, a step-up ladder kicker, many doubles, tons of berms and one of the most unique and challenging features around, the 100+ foot log/ladder skinny to double.

The Main Loop connects with Big Lake Trail at about the four mile mark and continues for another mile back to the parking lot.
