Eagle Valley is primarily doubletrack with the exception of 0.3 miles of singletrack behind the Visitor Center, and a short section near the stables. From the Visitors Center, you'll head north on the Eagle Valley doubletrack. Around 1 mile in there is a 8% grade descent with switchbacks on loose gravel so take it easy. After that is a long steady climb paralleling a drainage to get your heart rate up and legs burning. The trail will fade to singletrack at the base of a large hill. From there you are back into onto the overlapping Declue Trail that ascends back to the Visitor's Center.
