Stinging Nettle Trail

Stinging Nettle is an easy rolling trail along the Meramec River banks. It is mostly wide, fast hard-packed singletrack. At the beginning of the trail, there is a bench to have a snack and enjoy the river. When you get going you'll pick one of the three deep drainage crossings to ride down into and out of to get to the rest of the trail.

Most of the time there is little to no water in these it is just a bit of a roller to get down in an back out of them. There is little to challenge even the most novice of mountain bikers on the rest of the trail but is still a fun ride. Look out for the sand bogs on the side closest to the river and of course the trail's namesake all over. We have all been stung by a nettle at one point or an other.
