Prickly Pear doesn't have rock gardens per se - it's pretty much one big continuous rock garden with a few breaks here and there. Coming from Royale, the Pear starts a bit mellow. However a short way in, the trail hangs a right and you'll see a large flat rock on a slight uphill. Hop up on the rock (totally doable) and from that point on it's a technical ride.

Lots of short rocky downs/ups and one short but steep climb (20%-25% grade) that is thankfully rather smooth. With all the rocks the trail drains well and mud isn't a big concern.
