Dogs No Dogs
Motos and bikes only. No walking/hiking/dogs.
Overview
Ledges. This place is known for its advanced terrain that is full of ledges to challenge your technical climbing and descending skills.
It is a motocross park, so bikes must yield to motos when present. Most weekends, the bikers far outnumber the motos and they are easy to hear coming.
Need to Know
• Emma Long Motocross park is a moto-first course, so yield to them. Follow the Main Loop signage if you're unfamiliar with the trail as many of the side trails are not authorized.
• The direction of the course changes every few years and is currently running counter-clockwise.
Description
Blood, sweat, tears, and broken bike parts.
Not what some of you want to read about a "city park." Fortunately or, unfortunately, depending on your need for gnar, Emma Long Motocross Park is just that. A motocross park that bikers are able to enjoy as well. Just be prepared to tackle some of the most technical, ledge filled terrain you've likely ever encountered. Motos and years of use have created wide, multiple line ledge areas where many will be walking it up or down if they don't want to be another victim of Emma.
History & Background
The park was formed in 1970 when the City of Austin allowed a group of volunteers to create an off road motorcycle park on the steep and rocky northern edge of Emma Long Park.
