Description

Park at Snowblind campground up Tomichi Pass Rd. (County Rd 888). Pedal 888 up to the treeline. Please note that the ride up CR 888 is probably 8 miles. The 1st few miles are fine, then it becomes crap. You need to factor this into the equation. This ride, if you start and end at Snowblind is probably 20 miles. Do not be deceived by the climb up 888....it's not easy. You'll find a trail sign marking the beginning of the Canyon Creek Trail. It starts off with a short pedal followed by a significant hike-a-bike where you'll push nearly a 1,000 vertical feet up a rugged and loose series of switchbacks. A very long, delightful descent follows, until you get to the steep climb close to the end.

Also, this trail is open to motorized dirt bikes, so the trail is soft and narrow in some places.

The above-treeline descending on Canyon Creek is seriously grin-inducing.

The course description for this is not accurate. 8 miles of shitty road riding up CR 888 and then there's a good climb at the end. Do not be fooled.
