Description

This is a challenging but rideable section of trail. It starts on Rd 242 and finishes at a junction with the Pinyon Trail, though the forest service map shows it joining Bear Scat instead. Both ends feature extended climbs on a loose surface with limestone ledges - baby heads are the biggest challenge.

The top section of the trail changes from smooth and fast to twisting with rock gardens. The northern climb/descent is more continuous with tighter turns and shorter / steeper.
