Description

From the large parking area (with restroom) just off Highway 6, this path winds through Summit Cove before breaking out into meadow and pine forests as it climbs to Sapphire Overlook.

There is a half mile pedestrian-only trail around the overlook that is highly recommended.

Soon after the overlook, the separated trail ends and to continue in this direction, you'll need to ride next to Swan Mountain Road for a couple miles until it hits highway 9. It's separated from the road, but not as scenic as other parts.
