This is a single purpose trail designed only for mountain biking.

No night riding unless COMBO has secured a special permit.

No parking at the gate and riding before sunrise or after sunset. One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.

Overview

Over 10 miles of mostly cross country trails plus a super fun downhill flow trail added call "More Cowbell." More Cowbell features lots of dirt jumps, tables, berms and a few techy obstacles. There are lots of short cuts and loops throughout the trail system, so you can do different CX loops or just do repeats on the flow trail if that's your flavor. There is one major climb at the beginning of the trail called the "Apple Barn" climb that goes up a steep, short accent with tight switch backs. Lots of improvements have been made in recent years thanks to our local IMBA chapter COMBO and their amazing volunteers.

Need to Know

The opening and closing of the trail is no longer determined by the Park Rangers as of Spring 2022. See trails conditions on this site, which is also linked to COMBOmtb.com. If trail conditions are outdated, please be part of the solution by actively updating them here. As 2021, the trail now closes 30 minutes before sunset.

Description

The trail was built by COMBO (Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization). The trail can be accessed from a parking lot located off Mason Road.

Trail starts out as hard pack dirt through rolling woods then turns into sandy-rocky singletrack once you get up onto the ridge. Has a good mix of climbs and descents that sometimes has rocks/sandy patches. There are a few ladder bridge crossings. All are pretty wide and they aren't very long.

One puddle at the start where it always is and one one the blue trail where it almost always is. Running great! Get out there! No one here.
