Tough and Dirty Slide is a quick, fun descent with a couple of obstacles along the way. Starting from the top of Poly Canyon, the trail goes through a small gate, through a large rock, traverses a steep hillside, then drops into the trees. Watch out for loose, off-camber corners.

A narrow plank bridge marks the transition to doubletrack, which leads to a second gate - head through it and keep right onto a final singletrack traverse to meet a fire road at a cattle watering trough. A straight shot down to Poly Canyon Road finishes off the trail.
