Overview
This loop connects with many other trails in the area. A good test of your endurance.
Description
There are well posted signs along the trail at almost every fork. It's very easy to navigate. The soil is usually very tacky and responsive.
Start either at the Cache Creek trailhead or at any of the access trails along the bike path which goes through town along Flat Creek.
Sink or Swim is a long traverse with small sections of climbing. The end of Sink or Swim is just after the chair lifts which you'll bike under.
Hagen Trail then starts, and again has some short climbs with fun rolling descents. At the end of a sustained climb, Ferren Trail Starts and is a steep climb with multiple switchbacks to the top of the saddle on Snow King. From here, follow West Game Creek which is a long sustatined downhill trail through a burnt forest with tons of vibrant colored flowers. Stay left at the fork and get ready for another sustained climb through meadows and aspen forests.
You'll then find yourself on a 2 track that offers many varieties of side trails like "Put Put" or "Hagen" all the way back to the Cache Creek trailhead.
There are very few technical sections on this ride, and you'll trade some sustained climbs for sustained descents.
