Description

Recently revamped with red clay through most of the trail. This is a non-technical trail that is very accessible for people who want to try mountain biking, but it's still a fun and fast ride for more experienced riders.

Starting at the St. Marks bike trail parking area, it's about a one mile ride to the paper cup, where the trail will split into east/west Munson or a shortcut (Tall Pines). Going either way (west is my usual route) is a gentle (mostly) downhill slope along well-packed clay and occasional sandy areas.

There is a small water station and bailout about 1 1/2 miles south of the trailhead. You can turn back towards paper cup and pick your way through some fun turns until about 3/4 mile, where you'll need to pick your way through some tightly-packed pines.

You may see an endangered Sherman's Fox Squirrel or Red-cockaded woodpecker if you keep your eyes open.
