Overview
This trail offers a couple of fun loop options right on the edge of town. The lower loop is a bit rockier but the upper loop is much smoother and well worth the climb.
Need to Know
There are lots of pokeys out here so be sure to run a tire sealant. Be sure to swing into
Red Canyon Cycles while you are in town and get the latest info on other trails in the area.
Description
Park in the unmarked dirt lot on the west side of Temple Canyon Road (right side if coming from town). The trail starts on the other side of the road from the parking area. Climb up to the first intersection where
Lamba Chops begins. Most riders prefer taking a left here and doing a figure 8. The trail offers some smooth flowy sections, some tight twisty sections and some rock gardens that keep you on your toes.
At the next intersection keep going straight and then take your next left which begins
Hotshot. Enjoy the climb, take a breather at the top in the Ponderosa Grove, and then enjoy the downhill.
Take a left at the intersection re-tracing your steps from earlier. This time head right at the next intersection and keep going downhill. Turn left and head back to where you parked.
