Description

Almost continuous downhill from the start at the Stony Ridge Link Trail. Roots and rocks are a constant theme. It starts with some short drops and tricky constrictions while it hugs the edge above Moat Brook. After a tricky climb and turn, it leaves the brook and eases up slightly. The middle section turns and drops through rooty and rough sections, generally getting rougher and steeper as it gets lower. This section is fast and fun.

As it turns back towards the Moat Brook crossing, there is sharp left turn into a new gully drop, fantastic! The trail cross Moat Brook which may need to be walked or waded. The trail climbs again, then makes another slightly easier stream crossing and intersects the Thompson Falls Hiking Trail. From this point, it's a short ride to Forest Road 379.
