Acorn is a nice little trail. It's very easy singletrack, something that you don't see a lot of in eastern Massachusetts. While there is nothing really noteworthy or special about
Acorn, it's very enjoyable riding at a very mellow level.
Acorn is more of a trail system than a single trail, but the others are all short.
The trail leaves Lowell street across from the parking lot and follows along the road for a bit, and then turns into the forest. At the same time
Acorn North continues along the road.
Acorn North is recommended over
Acorn at this point, due to flooding and mud. A little while later
Acorn North rejoins the trail, after the wet stuff.
The trail then passes an access trail to Curve Street. And then comes to A T,
Acorn is a loop and goes both ways, the description assumes you head left.
After Some more mellow riding, the trail runs into the creatively named
Acorn South. This is another loop, that rejoins
Acorn, and also provides access to Curve Street. After the second intersection with
Acorn South,
Acorn continues back to the T intersection of the loop, and then back to Lowell Street.
