This trailhead and connector provides direct access into the most challenging sections of the BCT.

Start at the trailhead in Black Canyon City and go west to the junction with BCT: Table Mesa to Black Canyon City and BCT: Black Canyon to Soap Creek.

The Black Canyon TH has a restroom with running water, apparently from the town water supply. There is a large parking area and no signs prohibit dry camping. Little of the area is level for RV refrigerators, but there is one small loop of pavement at the NW corner that is fairly level. Rock Springs Café is just down the road and famous for its pies.
