Overview
Think more cow path. Mountain biking like the people who invented the sport. You'll ascend the Reuter Springs trail, cross Warren Peak Rd then descend the
Houston Creek drainage.
Description
Begin with a 2 mile climb on the Reuter Springs Trail. At the intesection with Carson Cut-Across, make a right turn followed immediately with a left turn taking you past a fenced in pumphouse. Continue to climb the two track of Upper Reuter Springs trail.
At the intersection with the paved Warren Peak road (3 miles), cross the pavement to the West and follow a faint cow path down hill until you intersect a good dirt road. Go left, downhill, on the road to the sharp left corner crossing
Houston Creek(4 miles). Leave the road on singletrack, marked with carsonite sign "Bearlodge Trail", to your left which follows
Houston Creek to the South. You'll cross the creek several times before leaving the creek drainage (5.1 miles).
The singletrack will intersect with Carson Draw Spur Trail 2 (5.3 miles), make a left turn onto two track forest road. Make another left turn (5.9 miles), climb old logging road until the intersection with the Carson Draw Trail (6.4 miles). Turn left, proceed on two track, at mile 8 make a right turn followed by a left staying on two track road that will bring you to the Reuter Trailhead.
