Description

Mainly an eroded motorcycle trail, this provides a more technical side trip from partway through the Quebradas La Madre Trail.

Just west of the starting point, the arroyo drops abruptly over an 18-inch ledge. This is a great practice location because if you fall it is into a sandy dry pool in the arroyo. There is also about a 30-inch ledge on the north side that would be quite a bit more challenging.

Continue on down the arroyo then turn left and walk up a very steep and loose slope. Decent gravelly singletrack leads off to the west. Sections are loose gravel steeps going in and out of arroyos. As you go further west there is soft silt that becomes tiresome.

Eventually the trail reaches a point overlooking the large arroyo. It was not followed beyond this point.
