Description

Short and sweet, this trail offers excellent rolling switchbacks and two interesting bridges. The trail isn't named on any maps, but it's often referred to as "The Switchbacks."

The trail leaves the Yellow loop trail, and rolls down into a stream gully. At the bottom it crosses an interesting bridge that ends at a steep rock. From here the trail climbs up an interesting series of switchbacks to a fun rolling drop, then levels off and heads towards another section of the Yello Loop Trail.

If you follow this trail as an alternative to the Yellow Loop Trail, it will turn back to the river gully and descend in another series of switchbacks. At the bottom it crosses over a little red A-frame bridge which is one of the prettest mountain biking obstacles you'll find. The red color gives it a charm, but the painted surface can be slick if wet, frozen or covered with leaves. After crossing the bridge, the trail winds it's way back up and out of the gully back to where it started.
