Overview

Elings has a variety of trails from the beginner to advanced rider. This, the most popular trail in the park, is the downhill trail on the south side.

Need to Know

The best way to access this trail is to park at the south side lot at Elings and climb up the eastern or western access trails to the plateau.

Description

This trail was built and is maintained by Sage Trail Alliance. It is always safe, sees many users of all ages and skill levels, and has good sight lines. There is only one short steep section, otherwise it is very approachable, with a stable soil riding surface. It also has nice views out to the ocean the entire time, making a truly a stunning place to get a ride while in Santa Barbara.
