Description

This trail cuts off from the Powerline trail shortly after leaving the lower Cedro lot. It makes a quick winding climb up over a ridge to drop into the canyon that South 14 follows. The trail then gradually works up the canyon, occasionally dropping into and out of the stream bed.

As you get higher up towards the Tunnel Canyon trailhead, the cactus seem to be trying to encroach on the trail and you'll you'll find yourself trying to keep from getting pricked. The trail in the canyon is quite narrow and can have a soft shoulder so beware. Eventually

Eventually the trail drops into the canyon and goes through the large culvert under the road (some road. The culvert is reasonably illuminated by daylight and a light is not needed. Most of it is rideable rideable but there are rocks in it as well). is a large, low rock about 3/4 of the way through going uphill. Watch out for this and things may change with rains.

Once out of the culvert take a right a little ways up to get onto the Tunnel Canyon trail (just across from the Birdhouse Ridge Trail) and a right on Tunnel Canyon to get to the trailhead.
