Description

A little over a quarter mile east of Colima Rd is a split. Though I usually go right, they both meet again less than half a mile away. The right (uphill) trail climbs a short slope in the sun, then drops mildly to a powerline tower where it rejoins the left branch. The left (downhill) trail is almost never used and has a lot of debris on its surface, it is, however, shaded by trees.

From the powerline tower, the trail descends very steeply down an old, paved access road that over the decades has devolved into half dirt, half crumbled asphalt. It ends at Hacienda Blvd at a closed, swinging gate. Scramble around it and carefully cross Hacienda Blvd.
