Overview

This ride is a perfect tour of Cady Hill Forest, also known as the Stowe Town Loops. It features over 6 miles of technical singletrack and finishes with a killer ride down Bear's. The trail recently have become quite crowded on weekend but even then it's never over-crowded.

Description

This ride covers all of the advanced-level singletrack in the Cady Hill Forest Trail System. Including the fast-flow of Bear's and Charlie's, and the technical up and downs of Zog's and the Schween Haus Loops. Fast experts will finish this ride in less than an hour, but most riders will take 1.5 to 2 hours.

Start your ride by parking at the Cady Hill Forest Trailhead along 108 in Stowe. The trailhead is across the street from the Town and Country Inn. Your ride will start by heading east on Route 108 until you're across the street from the Baggy Knees shopping center. Turn right into the gravel parking lot past the Iride Bike Shop and the Backyark. Look for the trail sign at the end of the parking lot.

The singletrack you see is Charlie's. Follow this all the way to the Cady Hill Road. Go right up the hill, and the road gradually devolves into doubletrack. Take the singletrack on your left.

After the bridges hang a right on to The Cady Hill Connector and continue going up the hill on the buff trail. Pass Easy Out and Zog's, and turn left onto the Schween Haus Loops.

Take a right at the end of the Schween Haus Loops, you'll spend about 50 yards on The Cady Hill Connector, and turn left down Zog's. Follow Zog's until it terminates at Bridgey. Turn left onto Bridgey and follow to Aryn's Loop on your left.

After exiting Aryn's Loop continue towards the Green Chair Overlook, and get ready for the final reward. A fast, thrilling ride down Bear's!
