Description

Merritt Creek is a slightly technical loop off of the Upper Burner.

The route will take you across several chunky and fun bedrock sections. Portions of this trail are littered with embedded cobbles and it's fairly rugged...not primped & 'flowy' like many newer machine-built trails. Unlike the Nimby cluster trails, the bedrock sections here are a wheels on the ground experience, think rough surface XC not easy Freeride.

Meadowy section of Merritt Creek Trail. Most of the trail is rocky and full of sharp cobble, but this short bit offers a brief respite.

Very challenging climbs up some big rocks. Stick with the low gear and keep pedaling. Lots of step ups, gaps, and small rocks that require the bike... 1.1mi
