Description
The Upper
Flume Trail is most easily accessible at the south end of the
Lower Flume Trail. The
Lower Flume Trail begins on the north side of Summit County Road 450, 0.25 mile east of the Highway 9, intersection behind a bus stop. There is no parking at the trailhead. Park at the Breckenridge Recreation Center, or in Town.
Ride 0.25 mile up
Lower Flume Trail to Upper
Flume Trail on the right. The trail begins with a steep climb through a switchback, then transitions to a milder 0.25 mile climb paralleling Forest Hills Drive before reaching the flume.
The trail follows the flume for 2 miles, passing
Mike's Trail on the left at mile 1.5 and crossing Golden Age Drive at mile 1.8. Trail begins a mild climb away from the flume passing
Slalom Singletrack Trail on the right at mile 2.4, and the
Middle Flume Trail on the left at mile 2.8. Shortly after the
Middle Flume Trail junction the trail rejoins the flume and continues another 0.5 mile to its terminus on
Gold Run Road.
