Description

This is a straightforward ascent to the summit of Stein Butte, former site of a fire lookout tower. The climbing is steady but never too steep as far as the junction with the final short (few hundred yards) spur to the summit. After enjoying the 360-degree panorama, you can choose to descend the way you just came up, make a loop by going down the New London Trail, or explore the trail as it continues further east along the Elliott Creek Ridge.

This is a breath-taking ride. Yes, the scenery is beautiful, but that's not what I meant. This ride will literally take your breath away! 11mi — 3h 00m
