Description

The trail starts from a low point in the Palouse Divide Road (USFS RD 377), south of the road and adjacent to a recent clear cut. The first several miles traverse and gently descend through forest. As the trail enters a recent clear cut, the grade increases. Excellent singletrack follows through forest, including banked curves, ending in a cool cedar forest.

The trail near the bottom is more popular with hikers from the Giant White Pine Campground, so be cautious. If you started at the campground, look for the well signed trail leading back to the campground.
