Description

This trail is popular among bikers, hikers, and horseback riders. The trail follows the West Fork of Mink Creek, beginning at the West Fork trailhead and topping out at the Elk Meadows jeep road. It's a gentle but consistent climb to the top on a well-used dirt trail with a handful of water bars and a few rocks. Most of the trail is shaded, so it's a nice ride on a hot afternoon. At the top you'll cross a cattle guard at the intersection of Elk Meadows road. From there you can head to Gibson Jack, Crystal Springs, Chimney Creek (Birthday Trail), and other trails in the area.
