Description
The buck creek trails are generally flat, smooth, tight and twisty singletrack with the occasional technical rock section.
The trails are well signed with a couple of bailouts back to the parking lot and there's usually a heads up when there's going to be a technical section. The ABC has done alot of work to develop and maintain these trails and their work shows. Also everyone I met out on the trails was super friendly. There's a total of 13.2 miles of trail to ride with options to shorten the loop, and bypass technical sections if desired.
This will never be a destination, but the trails are interesting and it's nice to get out an spin your legs if you are in the area.
The big things to know, are you have to pay to gain access to the parking lot and trails, or go with a member of the cycling club. Also this is West Texas, there are alot of pointy things that will deflate your tires so plan accordingly. Finally it's hot here in the summer bring plenty of water and avoid the hottest parts of the day. Winter can be very nice, as well as fall and spring.
Fun trails . I grew up here and was in town from Colorado
For a wedding. Worth the money to ride for a few days . The trails are tight but kinda flowy
