Description

From Bogus Basin Ski Resort, pedal to the top of Deer Point via any number of nice singletrack options (Around the Mountain is a good one). From Deer Point, follow Boise Ridge Road down to the first left turn onto road 275C. Follow this road down a short ways past a gate. Shortly after the gate keep an eye out on the right for the start of the trail. It's a little hard to spot, but if you've ridden more than about 30 seconds past the gate you've probably passed it.

Once on the trail, hang on and enjoy! It twists and turns through the ferns and pines, taking you over rocks, roots, and drops. Due to the thick vegetation and tight turns, you'll need to think fast as you'll be riding over many of the obstacles before you know they are there. Don't fret though, the most difficult sections (including a 4 or 5 foot drop off of a large boulder, and a narrow board/bridge) can be seen a bit in advance, and there are ways to ride around them.

At the end stay right and pedal up a short climb back onto Boise Ridge Road. From there either pedal back up the Ridge Road to Bogus Basin, or if riding all the way back into town, head down the Ridge Road a couple miles to Dry Creek, Hard Guy, or any of the other Ridge to River trails.

One of the various rocky sections on Mahalo. Fun and not too technical.

This trail really isn't worth riding as a "descent". You are pedaling the entire time. It would be good for a gravel bike or a hardtail. V pretty tho

Slightly overgrown and a couple of loose turns, but otherwise in good shape. Still a ton of fun!!! 24mi — 4h 30m
