An easier option when heading east than 8 Trail, 3 Trail departs directly from the Central Parking area. The first section of trail is a slight descent, leading into an intersection with 8 Trail. 8 and 3 become one for a little while, until 8 Trail verges south, up a climb.

Stay straight here and keep your speed in check as this descent can get fast! Shortly after an intersection with 3A, 3 Trail heads south to climb back up the hill. Grind away here until you meet an intersection with 9 Trail. This is where the tech begins. Stay left and merge onto 9 Trail (the two trails overlap for a short time). When you have the option, turn right to stay on 3 Trail. This is an incredibly technical, steep climb that takes you to 2 Trail, the ridgeline trail. Enjoy the views!
