Description

South Hogsback is the little sibling to North Hogsback and has a very similar feel and appearance to it, meandering over a segment of the old coal tailings in this area. Like North Hogsback and Tailings Run, there are a lot of short ups and downs and sharp turns, but other than the occasional root growing across the trail, not too technical otherwise. Though it is marked as Difficult on the official map at the trailhead, most intermediate riders will find it within their ability and enjoyable. It's a blast and will leave one wanting to ride more of the coal train.
